It all started back on Wednesday, January 18th, 1971 in Bakersfield, California. That was the day a miracle was born to Rick and Holly Davis. And that miracles name is Jonathan Davis. His mother, Holly, was an actress and dancer. His father, Rick, was a substitute keyboardist with Buck Owens and he also owns a music store as well as a recording studio. Jon has a younger sister named Alyssa and a younger, half brother Mark Chavez (Who is the lead singer for the band "Adema"). Jon also has a half sister named Amanda, and a stepsister named Stephanie, as well as two stepbrothers, named Michael and Eric.

When Jon was 3 years old when his parents divorced. Since Jon was nearly 1 years old, his severe problems with asthma started. He was in the hospital almost every 6 to 8 weeks with severe asthma attacks. with his parents being told that if they could get him through the night he might be okay. That went on for about 3 years. Jonathan hung out with the so-called freaks and misfits in school. He frequented gay clubs, and still does to this day.When Jonathan was sixteen, his father "found" Jesus and saved himself. His father used to be big band keyboardist, and owned a music store. The priests made his dad burn Jonathan's Motley Crue posters and tapes. At the time of his religious discovery was when his father began looking down on Jonathans love for music, though he had been an avid supporter to that point. The first show Jonathan had gone to was in Los Angeles. to see Cradle of Thorns, who were later signed to Korn's record label, Elementree, under the name Videodrone (Videodrone broke up after their debut CD). Jonathan Howsmon Davis[1] (born January 18, 1971) is an American singer, songwriter, and music maker. He is also known as JD or JDevil.[2] He is the singer for Korn. Korn is an American nu metal band. It is one of the first nu metal bands.[3] Davis helped make Korn in 1993.

Davis has worked with many other music makers, such as Sepultura, Limp Bizkit, and Q-Tip. He has made many different types of music. Davis can play the guitar, drums, bagpipes, piano, clarinet, violin, and upright bass.[4] He makes electronic music as JDevil.
