DARYL G. BYRD is President and Chief Executive Officer of IBERIABANK and
IBERIABANK Corporation, headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana. He also
serves on the Board of Directors for both IBERIABANK and IBERIABANK
Corporation. Mr. Byrd earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Administration from Samford University in 1976 and a Master of Business
Administration degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in
1978. Mr. Byrd began his banking career with Trust Company Bank of
Georgia (now SunTrust) in 1980. In 1985, he moved from North Carolina,
having worked for BB&T, to Louisiana to lead commercial lending
activities for First National Bank of Lafayette, a subsidiary of First
Commerce Corporation. In 1990, Mr. Byrd was named President and CEO of
Rapides Bank and Trust Company in Alexandria, another First Commerce
Corporation bank. In 1992, he moved to First National Bank of Commerce,
the lead bank for First Commerce Corporation, as Executive Vice
President in charge of commercial bank and mortgage banking groups.
