Brightside are an established Classic Rock covers band who have been making a name for themselves in the Manawatu area and beyond over the past three years.

The band members are:

Jeremy Harker Bass Guitar, vocals

Lee Hamilton Lead Guitar ,vocals

Mandy Smith Vocals

Jon Clark Guitar, Vocals, Harmonica

Jimmy Warren Drums, Vocals

We specialise in playing the crowd pleasers, the big choruses, those songs that you just love to sing along with. Our reasoning is simple. We want to give you, the audience, what you want to hear.

It’s your night after all, whether you’ve booked us for the evening or have just walked into a bar where we are playing.

With that in mind we’ve put together a repertoire of hit songs from the 1960s right up until today that will leave everyone wanting an encore.

Each member of the band is a talented performer in their own right but Brightside is greater than the sum of its parts.

BrightSide. is a post punk/indie rock band formed in 2009 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The band ensemble consists of: Konstantinos Skarlatos (lead vocals, guitar), Nestoras Bananis (lead guitar), Miles Lappas (drums and percussion), Thanos Karapantsios (bass guitar) and Nikos Kallianis (keyboards).
The band is influenced by the new wave, post-punk scene alongside its revival through the indie rock bands of the ’00s. Since the spring of 2010, BrightSide. have shared the stage with The Stranglers, Motorama, Soviet Soviet, Get Well Soon, and various Greek bands. They have also performed with other alternative bands at various live stages (Fix Factory of Sound, Stage Volume 1, six d.o.g.s., Block33, Μύλος Club, 8ball, Rover, ΓαιAlive, Silver Dollar, Death Disco) and they have participated in various festivals.
In January 2012, the band’s long-standing idea of creating a festival for greek indie rock/brit pop/alternative/post-punk/indietronica bands took shape. This resulted in the creation of #if (Indie Fest) which has been held with complete success since 2012.

1) Brightside was one of the leading bands of the Eurocore-genre which swept across the continent's heavy music scene with an unparalleled force. The band had its home in Kassel, home to the Ryker's as well, and were active members of the legendary 'Kassel Crew'. Their records were released by the infamous German records label 'Lost&Found'. Their singer Dennis is generally referred to as 'the H.P. Baxxter of Eurocore'.

3) Brightside is an indie rock/pop band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania that began in 2010. In 2011 they released their first full length, "Good Enough", followed by an EP as well as other splits, singles, and rarities. In 2014 they released their follow-up LP "Now and Loud" through Connecticut label Broken World Media.
