Maher bin Hamad bin Mueaql Al-mueaqly Balawi, is a reader and imam of Masjid Al-Haram. The saudi sheikh was born on the year 1388, in the city of Medina.
The sheikh learnt the Qur’an at a young age and continued to pursue a mathmatics degree which he acheived in Medinah. Later on, he went to Makkah to become a scholar and taught at the school of Balaat. He became a well-loved speaker and preacher and became the advisor to Prince Abdul-Majid in Makkah.

In addition, Maher Al-Mueaqly lecturer at the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, took the lead a mosque “Abdel Rahman al-Saadi” in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid An-Nabawi) in 1426-1427 H. He then lead Taraaweeh prayer with Sheikh Abdurrahman As-Sudais at the holy Mosque (Masjid Al-Haram) and regularly leads Fajr and Maghrib prayers there.Maher memorised the whole Quran at a young age. He also attained a masters in Sharia from Umm Qura university
He was the advisor to prince Abdul-Majid
Maher has also led prayers at both Masjid An-Nabawi and Masjid Al-Haram

Biography of Maher Al Mueaqly

Maher Al Mueaqly, born Maher Ibn Hamd Ibn Mueaql Al Mueaqly Al Baloui, is a Saudi Imam and Qur’an reciter. He was born Chawal 18, 1388 Hijri in Madinah.

Maher Al Mueaqly grew up in Madinah. He earned a professional degree in mathematics and joined the educational stuff of Balat Al Shohada’ School and later became the students adviser in Abd Al Majid School of Makkah.

In 1425, Maher Al Mueaqly got a master in Shariaa from Umm Al Qura University. Lecturer in the Shariaa and Islamic Sciences Faculty, Maher was leading prayers in Abd Arrahmane Assaadi Mosque, Makkah. From 1416H to 1427, Maher Al Mueaqly was imam at the Prophet’s mosque and the Holy Mosque.

Maher Al Mueaqly’s discography including his recitations was released and sold across many Muslim countries.

Maher Ibn Hamad Ibn Mouâyqil Al Mou‘ayqli Al Balawi (en arabe : ماهر بن حمد بن معيقل المعيقلي البلوي), né le à Médine (Arabie saoudite), est un guide (imam) et prédicateur (da'i) saoudien, connu pour sa récitation (qira'a) du Coran, considérée comme l'une des plus belles au monde[1],[2].

Enfance

Maher al Muaiqly naît le 7 janvier 1969 à Médine, dans le nord de l'Arabie saoudite, dans la province d'Al Wajh où son père a immigré.

Habitant à côté de La Mecque, il grandit dans une famille musulmane très pieuse. Il est très vite plongé dans les récitations coraniques et est voué à apprendre le Coran dans son entièreté.

Maher al Muaiqly est père de quatre enfants, tous inscrits dans des écoles coraniques.

Carrière

Maher al Muaiqly mémorise le Coran au Teachers College de Médine, où il obtient également un diplôme (ijaza) de mathématiques lui permettant d'enseigner cette matière. Il complète ses études par un master de droit hanbalite
